Reba Nell McEntire is a country music singer and actress. She is
often referred to as "the Queen of Country” and has sold more
than 75 million records worldwide. Since the 1970s, McEntire has
placed over 100 singles on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart,
25 of which reached number one.

William Shatner in The Twilight Zone episode: Nightmare At

Shatner is best known for his portrayal of Captain James T. Kirk
of the USS Enterprise (above) in the Star Trek franchise; from the
second pilot in 1965 to his final appearance as Kirk in the 1994 
Star Trek Generations.

On this day in 1751, James Madison, drafter of the Constitution,
recorder of the Constitutional Convention, author of the Federalist 
Papers and fourth president of the United States, was born on a
plantation in Virginia.

Madison first distinguished himself as a student at the College
of New Jersey (now Princeton University), where he successfully completed a four-year course of study in two years and, in 1769,
helped found the American Whig Society, the second literary and
debate society at Princeton (and the world), to rival the previously established Cliosophic Society.

On March 15, 1962, KATU in Portland, Oregon went on the air with
its first broadcast in black-and-white.
