VETERAN CHARACTER ACTOR HAS DIED

Actor John Beasley arrives to the premiere of Open Road Films' "A ...

Actor John Beasley, who played a kindly school bus driver
on the TV drama "Everwood" and appeared in dozens of
films dating back to the 1980s, died Tuesday after a "brief
and unexpected illness" at a hospital in his hometown of
Omaha.  

Beasley was born on June 26, 1943 in Omaha, Nebraska 
and started acting at the age of 44 after working with the 
railroad as a clerk. He was 79.

Stuart Margolin (January 31, 1940 – December 12, 2022)

Stuart Margolin, the character actor and James Garner buddy
best known for portraying the smarmy yet sweet con man
Evelyn “Angel” Martin on The Rockford Files, has died. He
was 82.

Margolin died Monday, his stepson, actor Max Martini
(The Unit), reported on Instagram. Another stepson,
director Christopher Martini, told The Hollywood Reporter
that Margolin died of natural causes in Staunton, Virginia.

Andrew Lewis Prine (February 14, 1936 – October 31, 2022)

Prine was a film, stage, and television character actor. He
died of natural causes while vacationing in
Paris at age 86.

Throughout the 1960s and 1970s, and in such television
series as
Gunsmoke, Bonanza, The Virginian, and Wagon
Train

(1933 – 2022)

(Fox News) – According to a Los Angeles Times
obituary, Richard Roat, who acted on iconic shows
such as "Friends," "The Golden Girls," and "Seinfeld," 
died suddenly on Aug. 5 in Orange County, Calif. No
other details about his death were disclosed.

With over 135 acting roles to his name, Roat portrayed
numerous characters on television, movies and even
Broadway.

He once played the late Betty White‘s boyfriend on her
sitcom "The Golden Girls" and appeared alongside
Jay
Leno
(below) in the 1978 made-for-TV movie "Almost
Heaven."

L. Q. Jones (born Justus Ellis McQueen Jr.)
(August 19, 1927 – July 9, 2022)

L.Q. Jones, the colorful character actor who worked on
dozens of Westerns, including the Sam Peckinpah classics 
The Wild Bunch and Ride the High Country as a member of
the famed filmmaker’s regular posse, has died.

Jones died Saturday of natural causes at his home in the
Hollywood Hills.
