First airing in 1972, the popular commercial was a regular for more
than twelve years, ending up as one of the longest continuously
running commercial campaigns ever aired.

Little Mikey was played by John Gilchrist (above) and his brothers
in the commercial are Gilchrist’s actual brothers, named Michael
(the one on the left in the spot) and Tommy.

Olivia Mary de Havilland was one of the foremost leading ladies of
Hollywood’s Golden Age. She began her career as a contract star for
Warner Bros. Pictures in 1935.

On November 17, 2008 Olivia de Havilland received the National
Medal for the Arts from President George W. Bush.
