(February 3, 1894 – November 8, 1978)

Rockwell was a painter and illustrator who is most famous for the cover
illustrations of everyday life scenarios that he created for The Saturday
Evening Post magazine for more than four decades. He also did work
for the Boy Scouts of America, producing covers for their publication
Boys’ Life, calendars, and other illustrations.

ST. LOUIS (AP) – Stan Musial, one of baseball’s greatest hitters and a Hall
of Famer with the St. Louis Cardinals for more than two decades, died
Saturday.

Stan the Man won seven National League batting titles, was a three-time
MVP and helped the Cardinals capture three World Series championships
in the 1940s.

Allied Radio began in 1928 as a mail-order and parts distribution arm 
of Columbia Radio Corporation, selling radio sets, tubes, electronic   
components, CB radios and other miscellaneous radio communications  
equipment and electronic kits. In 1970 the retailer changed ownership 
when Radio Shack’s parent Company, Tandy Corporation, bought both 
Allied Radio & Allied Electronics. By 1973, due to legal action, the Tandy
stores were renamed Radio Shack.
