Comedian Carol Burnett played both dramatic and comedic roles
on stage and screen. She has received numerous awards and
accolades, including seven Golden Globe Awards, a Grammy
Award, seven Primetime Emmy Awards, two Peabody Awards,
and a Tony Award.
Burnett was honored with the Presidential Medal of Freedom
in 2005.

Berle was an actor and comedian. His career
spanned over eight decades, first in silent
films and on stage as a child actor, then in
radio, movies and television.
As the host of NBC‘s Texaco Star Theatre
(1948–1953), he was the first major television
star and was known to millions of viewers as
"Uncle Miltie" and "Mr. Television" during the
first Golden Age of Television.
He was honored with two stars on the Hollywood
Walk of Fame for his work in both radio and TV.
On March 9, 1996, the legendary cigar-chomping performer
George Burns died at his home in Beverly Hills, California,
just weeks after celebrating his 100th birthday.
