Jack Benny (born Benjamin Kubelsky in Chicago, Illinois)
(February 14, 1894 – December 26, 1974)

While in high school, Jack Benny played violin in local dance bands and
orchestras. After working in vaudeville, he briefly left show business to
join the U.S. Navy during World War I.

Stand-up comedian Dave Anderson was a Portland, Oregon native known by many
as a local television and radio personality. He died of pancreatic cancer Sunday
night. The disease had been diagnosed two years ago.

Robert Brackett "Bob" Elliott (March 26, 1923 – February 2, 2016)

Actor/comedian Bob Elliott died at his home in Cundy’s Harbor, Maine 
from throat cancer. Ray Goulding died in 1990 from kidney failure at
the age of 68.
