POP-TART INVENTOR HAS DIED AT AGE 96

Death – Obituary News : Inventor of Pop-Tarts, William “Bill” Post, Dies at 96. RIP Legend ...

William “Bill” Post, the Michigan man widely credited
with inventing Pop-Tarts for the Kellogg’s breakfast
food company, died on Saturday.

Post’s invention debuted in 1964 with four flavors,
strawberry, blueberry, brown sugar cinnamon, and
apple currant. There are now more than 20 flavors.

Bob Edwards, 25-Year Voice of NPR's 'Morning Edition,' Dead At 76 - Radio Ink

Bob Edwards, longtime NPR 'Morning Edition' host, dies at 76: 'A trusted voice'

NEW YORK (AP) — Bob Edwards, who anchored National Public
Radio’s “Morning Edition” for just under 25 years and was the
baritone voice who told many Americans what had happened
while they slept, has died.

Edwards, who died Saturday, was 76 years old. NPR gave no
further details.

His cause of death was reported to be "metastatic bladder
cancer and a heart ailment."

Future U.S. president Abraham Lincoln was born in Hodgenville, Kentucky on February 12, 1809.

Lincoln, one of America’s most admired presidents, grew up a
member of a
poor family in Kentucky and Indiana. He attended
school for only one year, but thereafter read on his own in a
continual effort to improve his mind. As an adult, he lived in
Illinois and performed a variety of jobs including stints as a
postmaster, surveyor and shopkeeper, before entering politics.

He served in the Illinois legislature from 1834 to 1842 and in
Congress from 1847-1849, and then became an attorney.

Bob Moore to Receive Honorary Degree from NCNM May 12 - National University of Natural Medicine

PORTLAND, Ore. (KATU) — A Northwest visionary has passed
away. Bob Moore, founder of Bob’s Red Mill, passed away at
home on Saturday.

A celebration of life will be held at the Bob’s Red Mill store in
Milwaukie at a future date. Details are pending, but it will be
open to the public.
