Peter Marshall, Emmy-award winning game show host of
“Hollywood Squares” from 1966 to 1981 on NBC, died
of kidney failure Thursday in Encino, Los Angeles,
California.

Sam Elliott spent his teenaged years living in northeast Portland,
and graduated from David Douglas High School in 1962.  

After graduating from high school, Elliott attended college
at the University of Oregon as an English and psychology
major for two terms before dropping out. He returned to
Portland and attended Clark College in nearby Vancouver,

among the sport’s most popular players during a long, pro
career, died Thursday.

PARIS (WKRC) – A gold medalist will return home with a little
more than just a fancy necklace after he made history by
becoming his country’s first man to win a gold medal.

Carlos Yulo, 24, became the first male gold medalist from his
home country of the Philippines when he dominated the
competition in the Men’s Floor Exercise. He cemented his
athletic exceptionality by earning a second gold medal the
next day in the Men’s Vault Final.
