The show Lassie was the fourth longest-running primetime television series
after The Simpsons, Gunsmoke, and Law & Order. It received critical favor
at its debut and won two Emmy Awards in its first years. Stars Jan Clayton
and June Lockhart were nominated for Emmys.
Little House on the Prairie is a western drama television series, starring Michael
Landon, Melissa Gilbert, and Karen Grassle. The show is an adaptation of Laura
Ingalls Wilder‘s best-selling series of Little House books. The series premiered
on the NBC television network where it last aired on May 10, 1982.
The Atari 2600, or Atari VCS before 1982, is a home video game console that was
released by Atari, Inc. It is credited with popularizing the use of microprocessor–
based hardware and ROM cartridges containing game code, a format first used
with the Fairchild Channel F game console. The system was discontinued on
January 1, 1992.

The first instrument Jose learned to play was the accordion; his father
surprised him with a guitar, which he would play for fourteen hours a day.
Heart’s Desire was a giveaway contest program on the Mutual
Broadcasting System, hosted by Ben Alexander. The show aired
for 30-minutes, five days a week. It was initially a self-supporting
program of MBS, later Phillip Morris & Company Limited began to
sponsor half of the show. It was on the air for approximately two
years.
