COMPANY FOUNDED ON THIS DAY IN 1925

Walter P. Chrysler, founder of the Chrysler Corporation with the
original 1924 Chrysler Six.

The Chrysler Corporation was founded out of what remained of the Maxwell Motor Company. Chrysler greatly expanded in 1928, when it acquired the Fargo truck
company and the Dodge Brothers Company and began selling vehicles under
those brands; that same year it also established the Plymouth and DeSoto
automobile brands.

RECORD RELEASED ON THIS DAY IN 1965

"(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction" was written by Mick Jagger and Keith Richards and produced by Andrew Loog Oldham. Richards’ three-note guitar riff was intended
to be replaced by horns. The song is considered by most critics to be one of the
all-time greatest rock songs ever recorded. In 2004, Rolling Stone magazine
placed "Satisfaction" in the second spot on its list of "The 500 Greatest Songs
of All
Time", while in 2006 it was added to the Library of Congress National
Recording
Registry.
