RECENT PREHISTSORIC DISCOVERY MADE

Wide shot of submerged Wisconsin canoe

Wisconsin historians recently announced the discovery of at
least 11 ancient canoes in a Badger State lake – including one
boat that dates back to 2500 BC.

The findings were announced by the Wisconsin Historical
Society on May 23. The canoes were found in Lake Mendota,
which is located outside of Madison.

The Wisconsin Historical Society explained that two ancient
canoes were found in a cache in the lake in 2021 and 2022.

Since then, historians have found at least 11 other ancient
canoes, along what they believe was an
ancient shoreline
that became submerged over time.

Not all the canoes will be removed from the lake due to their
fragility.

The blue gas giant, which has a diameter four
times that of Earth, was named for the Roman
god of the sea. It has eight known moons, of
which Triton is the largest, and a ring system
containing three bright and two dim rings.

It completes an orbit of the sun once every
165 years. In 1989, the U.S. planetary
spacecraft Voyager 2 was the first human
spacecraft to visit Neptune.

Proof of the Bible: Excavation Reveals Major Discovery

Pool of Siloam

A recent excavation has revealed the location where Jesus of
Nazareth performed a miracle over 2,000 years ago.

Researchers uncovered the steps that led to the Pool of Siloam
where Jesus healed a blind man.

The pool and its greater surroundings have been uncovered in
the project, making it a major excavation in the world of Biblical

X-RAYS DISCOVERED ON THIS DAY IN 1895

On November 8, 1895, physicist Wilhelm Conrad Röntgen
(1845-1923) became the first person to observe X-rays, a
significant scientific advancement that would ultimately
benefit a variety of fields, most of all medicine, by making
the invisible visible.

Röntgen’s discovery occurred accidentally in his Wurzburg,
Germany, lab, where he was testing whether cathode rays
could pass through glass when he noticed a glow coming
from a nearby chemically coated screen. He dubbed the rays
that caused this glow X-rays because of their unknown nature.
