THE RETURN OF THE TWINKIE ANNOUNCED!

twinkies-comeback

(AP) – Hostess is betting on a sweet comeback for Twinkies when they return to
shelves starting on July 15.

The company that went bankrupt in early 2012 after an acrimonious fight with its
unionized workers is back up and running under new owners, Metropoulos & Co.
and Apollo Global Management. The team bought Twinkies and other Hostess
cakes products for $410 million.

The company says the cakes will taste the same but that the boxes will now bear
the tag line "The Sweetest Comeback In The History Of Ever."

Twinkies were invented in the town of River Forest, Illinois on April 6, 1930 by
James Alexander Dewar, a baker for the Continental Baking Company.

ALMOST TIME TO COLOR THOSE EGGS!

paas egg dye

dying eggs

The original Paas Easter egg dye was invented in1893 by William Townley.
a drug store owner in Newark, New Jersey. He concocted recipes for home
products and figured out how to concentrate dye in tablet form and made
the modern Easter egg dyeing kit. The original price of each tablet was
five cents and customers would make the dye by combining the tablets
with water and vinegar. Townley eventually renamed his business the
Paas Dye Company. The name Paas comes from “Pasen,” the word
used by the Dutch for Easter. Paas is the largest manufacturer of
Easter egg dyes.
