personality with a career spanning over seven decades, she is best known for
her role as Rose Nylund on The Golden Girls which originally aired on NBC from
1985 to 1992. She currently stars as Elka Ostrovsky in the TV Land sitcom Hot in
Cleveland.

Ding Dong School was a half-hour children’s TV show which began on Wednesday, November 24, 1952 on WNBQ-TV (now WMAQ-TV) in Chicago, Illinois. It was the first educational children’s program and was hosted by Dr. Frances R. Horwich (aka “Miss Frances”) who was the head of the Department of Education at Chicago’s Roosevelt College. The last show aired on Friday, December 28, 1956.

The movie 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea is a 1954 adventure film starring Kirk
Douglas and James Mason. It was the first science fiction film produced by Walt
Disney Productions, as well as the only science-fiction produced by Walt Disney
himself. It was also the first feature length Disney film to be distributed by Buena
Vista Distribution. It is the best-known adaptation of the Jules Verne novel. The
film won two Academy Awards and was nominated for one more.
