GARY COOPER WAS BORN ON THIS DAY IN 1901
Gary Cooper (Frank James Cooper) (May 7, 1901 – May 13, 1961)
Cooper’s career spanned from 1925 until shortly before his death, and
comprised more than one hundred films. Cooper received five Academy
Award nominations for Best Actor, winning twice for Sergeant York (1941)
and High Noon (1952). He also received an Honorary Award in 1961 from
the Academy. The American Film Institute named Cooper among the their
100 Years…100 Stars, ranking 11th among males.
NUMBER-ONE ON THIS DAY IN 1961
"Runaway" was written by Shannon and keyboardist Max Crook, and became a
major international hit. It is No. 472 on Rolling Stone‘s list of The 500 Greatest
Songs of All Time from 2010.

Presley museum and rental for several years, offering tours, is up for sale. The
home’s listing explains that the "King of Rock and Roll" spent his honeymoon at
the home in 1967. The selling price… just $9.5 million.
