Actor Tom Selleck is known to audiences as Magnum PI on CBS (1980-1988)
and later appeared in the CBS drama series Blue Bloods (2010-present). He
earned a scholarship in business administration at the University of Southern
California after being admitted on a basketball scholarship. Selleck had a
supporting role in Friends as Dr. Richard Burke, a role which earned him a
nomination for a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Guest Actor in a

Sir John Vincent Hurt (January 22, 1940 – January 27, 2017)
(FoxNews) – Award winning actor John Hurt reportedly died on Friday after a
battle with cancer.
The 77-year-old actor, who starred in films such as “Harry Potter” and “The
Elephant Man,” passed away after suffering from pancreatic cancer, according
to London’s Mirror newspaper.
Hurt contemplated his demise during an interview he did in 2015 while fighting
the disease.
“I can’t say I worry about mortality, but it’s impossible to get to my age and not
have a little contemplation of it,” Hurt said.
“We’re all just passing time, and occupy our chair very briefly.”

Mike Connors (Kreker J. Ohanian)
(August 15, 1925 – January 26, 2017)
Mike Conners was best known for playing detective Joe Mannix in
the CBS television series, Mannix (1967-1975). His career spanned six
decades; in addition to his work on television, he also appeared in
numerous films. Conners died in Tarzana, California. He had been
diagnosed with leukemia.
