                Stephen Valentine Patrick William "Steve" Allen


                        (December 26, 1921 – October 30, 2000)

Steve Allen was an accomplished pianist and composer, actor, comedian,
and writer. He got his start in radio at KOY in Phoenix, Arizona and later 
gained national attention as a guest host on Arthur Godfrey’s Talent
Scouts
. He went on to become the first host of The Tonight Show.

Allen won a Grammy award in 1963 for best jazz composition, with his
song The Gravy Waltz. His vast number of songs, over 14,000, has
never been equaled. He also wrote more than 50 books.

Humphrey DeForest Bogart (December 25, 1899 – January 14, 1957)

In 1999, the American Film Institute ranked Bogart as the greatest male star
in the history of American cinema. During a film career of almost 30 years,
he appeared in 75 feature films. Bogart was nominated for several awards
including the BAFTA award for best foreign actor in 1952 for The African
Queen
and three Academy Awards.

(December 24, 1905 – April 5, 1976)

Hughes was a industrial magnate, investor, aviator, aerospace engineer,
and maverick film producer who was also one of the wealthiest people 
in the world. He became a Las Vegas recluse before his death due to
kidney failure.

The movie 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea It was the first science fiction film that
was personally produced by Walt and Disney Productions. It was also the first
feature length Disney film to be distributed by Buena Vista Distribution and was
Disney’s fifth live-action film  overall.
