Martha Raye was a comic actress and standards singer who performed in
movies, and later on television. She was honored in 1969 with an Academy
Award as the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award recipient for her volunteer
efforts and services entertaining the troops during World War II, the Korean
War, and the Vietnam War. Raye’s life as a singer and comedy performer
began very early in her childhood. She is the only woman buried in the
SF (Special Forces) cemetery at Ft. Bragg. She was an honorary Colonel
in the Marines and an honorary Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S. Army.

Former child actor David Pollock (50), who played one of the little league player’s,
Rudi Stein in the 1976 comedy film “Bad News Bears”, is taking a swing at politics
these days. He has entered into a Congressional race as a Democrat in California’s
26th Congressional district. Pollock’s political aspirations began in 1994 when he was asked to consider running for his local school board which he did successfully. He
was on the board for 15 years. David has said that he is “proud of getting away
from Hollywood while the getting was good”.

Leonard Bernstein was a conductor, composer, author, music lecturer and 
pianist. According to The New York Times, he was "one of the most prodigiously 
talented and successful musicians in American history." Bernstein had a long
tenure as the music director of the New Your Philharmonic. He is also known
for his music in both the Broadway and film productions of West Side Story
(1957/1961).

Sir Thomas Sean Connery better known as Sean Connery, is a Scottish actor
and producer who has won an Academy Award, two BAFTA Awards, one of
which being a BAFTA Academy Fellowship Award and three Golden Globes.
Connery is best-known for portraying the character agent 007 James Bond,
starring in seven Bond films between 1962 and 1983. 1988, Connery won
the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in The Untouchables
(1987). His films also include The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen (2003),
Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989), The Hunt for Red October (1990),
and The Rock (1996). Connery was knighted in July 2000. He has been polled
as "The Greatest Living Scot”.
