Martin was interred at the Westwood Village Memorial Park Cemetery in Los Angeles.

Martin, a lifelong heavy smoker, was diagnosed with lung cancer
at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in September 1993. He was told
that he would require surgery to prolong his life, but he rejected it.

He retired from public life in early 1995 and died of acute respiratory failure resulting from emphysema at his Beverly Hills home on
Christmas Day, 1995.

Television and radio personality, comedian,
musician, composer, writer and actor.
Steve Allen, in 1954 achieved national fame
as the co-creator and first host of
The Tonight
Show
, which was the first late-night television
talk show.

Allen died in his sleep from chest trauma caused
by injuries sustained in an earlier traffic accident.

THE BEATLES TO RELEASE FINAL SONG

Ringo Starr, left, and Paul McCartney both commented in a
press release about their new song, referring to the
experience of creating the song as "emotional."

The remaining Beatles, Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr have
completed the band’s final song, decades after their breakup
and the deaths of John Lennon and George Harrison.

The band announced the song, titled "Now and Then," will be
available worldwide Thursday, Nov. 2, paired with a re-release of
their
very first single, "Love Me Do," which debuted in 1962.

"Now and Then" features vocals from Lennon as well as guitar
performed by Harrison, recorded six years before his 2001 death.

WASHINGTON (TND) — Rock star and philanthropist Jon Bon
Jovi (61)
 
has been named the 2024 "MusiCares" Person of the
Year
for his efforts to establish a successful nonprofit that helps
people in need.

Bon Jovi, who is the lead singer of the band with the same name,
said a former member of The Beatles, Paul McCartney, told him
about the honor.
