Randall (Randy) Herman Meisner (1946 – 2023)
The Eagles band announced in a Facebook post Thursday,
founding member Randy Meisner is dead. He was 77.
The Eagles band said Meisner died from complications from
Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease.
Before joining the Eagles, Randy was a member of Rick
Nelson & The Stone Canyon Band.
He was also the original bass player for country-rock group
Poco in the 60s.
Sir Michael (Mick) Philip Jagger is 80 years old today.
The musician, actor, film producer and Rolling Stones
lead vocalist Mick Jagger was born in Dartford, Kent,
England.
Jagger’s career has spanned over six decades, and he
has been widely described as one of the most popular
and influential lead singer in the history of rock music.
WASHINGTON (TND) — Singer Tony Bennett has passed away
just two weeks short of his birthday.
Bennett died in his hometown of New York, his publicist Sylvia
Weiner confirmed to The Associated Press.
No specific cause was given but the singer was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease in 2016.
His family revealed the news to AARP magazine in 2021 with
Bennett saying, "Life is a gift — even with Alzheimer’s."
