Beach Party was the first of several beach party party films from American International Pictures (AIP) that were made with the teen audience in mind. It was directed by William Asher and starred Robert Cummings, Dorothy Malone, Frankie Avalon, and Annette Funicello. The film is often credited with starting the beach party film genre. Beach
Party was the highest grossing film AIP had made to that date, earning more its
opening weekend than any of its competition.

The cast of National Lampoon’s Vacation (1983)
Looks like the Griswold family will be taking another vacation trip. According to Tim
Briscoe of Videoeta.com, this trip will see son Rusty all grown up and heading his
own family on a road trip. Briscoe said the L.A. Times reported the writers have
just finished a second draft on the script and that Rusty will have a lot of the
similarities of his father, Clark Griswold. The writers said the goal is to have
Chevy Chase (Clark) and on-screen wife Beverly D’Angelo both make
appearances at the end of the film.
