based on stories published in the Readers’ Digest.The extremely rare 1967
interview (below) features Karloff talking with Don Wilson and Bob Bogle.

version of the their hit “Walk Don’t Run” featuring George Babbett on
the drums with the late Bob Bogel on lead guitar and Don Wilson with
the rhythm guitar. An unidentified studio player is on the bass guitar.

The Big Hurt" (1959) is notable for it’s phasing effects, the first record
to feature the technique which made the song sound like a distant
shortwave broadcast. It was recorded at the Gold Star Studios in
Los Angeles. WKBW DJ Dick Biondi would introduce the single
as..”here’s Toni Fisher’s weird one”. The song went to No. 3 on
the Billboard Hot 100.
