Tina Turner (born Anna Mae Bullock)
(November 26, 1939 – May 24, 2023)

Tina Turner, known as the Queen of Rock n’ Roll, has died
after a long illness.

The singer, who achieved global fame with a string of soulful
hits including River Deep – Mountain High, The Best and What’s
Love Got To Do With It, triumphed over early adversity and also overcame domestic abuse, to become one of the world’s most
loved singers.

She died at her home in Küsnacht near Zurich, Switzerland.

1967: Turner was the first black artist and first female on the
cover of Rolling Stone magazine (Issue No. 2).

Singer, songwriter, musician, political activist and actor, Willie       
Hugh Nelson once worked spinning country records at KVAN
radio in Vancouver, Washington.   

Frank Sinatra died in 1998 at age 82 and was buried in a cemetery
not far from Palm Springs, California. Possibly to aid him on his
journey to the afterlife, the late superstar was buried with a pack
of Camel cigarettes and a bottle of Jack Daniels. Loaded with two
of his best companions, his epitaph was derived from one of his
classic hits, “The Best Is Yet To Come.”

The British rock and pop singer and songwriter is 78 today. He
is among the best-selling music artists of all time, having sold
over 250 million records worldwide.
