JUNE LOCKHART IS 90 TODAY

Lockhart played the mother on the CBS television series Lassie from 1954 to
1973 and Lost in Space from 1965 to 1968. She made her film debut in A
Christmas Carol
opposite of her actor parents, Gene and Kathleen Arthur
Lockhart, in 1938. June Lockhart originally started in theater.

DICK VAN PATTEN HAS DIED AT 86

Richard Vincent "Dick" Van Patten
(December 9, 1928 – June 23, 2015)

(Fox News) – Dick Van Patten, the actor who found lasting fame
as the patriarch on TV’s "Eight is Enough," has died.

Van Patten’s rep confirmed the news of his death to FOX. The
actor died Tuesday in Santa Monica, California, of complications
from diabetes.

(December 9, 1928 – June 23, 2015)

(Fox News) – Dick Van Patten, the actor who found lasting fame
as the patriarch on TV’s "Eight is Enough," has died.

Van Patten’s rep confirmed the news of his death to FOX411. The
actor died Tuesday in Santa Monica, California, of complications

SITCOM DEBUTED ON THIS DAY IN 1952

My Little Margie starred Gale Storm and Charles Farrell and premiered as
the summer replacement for I Love Lucy. It alternated between CBS and
NBC from 1952 to 1955 under the sponsorship of Philip Morris cigarettes
and when the series moved to NBC for its third season in the fall of 1953,
Scott Paper Company became its sponsor.

The series was created by Frank Fox and produced in Los Angeles,
California
at Hal Roach Studios by Hal Roach, Jr. and Roland D. Reed.

the Oregon coast, a considerable distance from Astoria. The adventure
comedy film was directed by Richard Donner and the screenplay was written
by Chris Columbus from a story by executive producer Steven Spielberg.
