The gymnast won a silver medal on the balance beam at the 1970
World Championships, thus becoming the first American woman
to win a medal in World Gymnastics.

Don Meredith was a former Dallas Cowboys
football star and one of  the original members
of the MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL broadcast
team on ABC-TV. He reportedly died Sunday
after suffering a brain hemorrhage. Don was 72.

Major League Baseball Center Fielder, Joe
Dimaggio played all 13 years of his career for
the New York Yankees. He was voted into
the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1955. Joe  
was once married  to Marilyn Monroe. 
He died in 1999 at the age of 84.

Major League Baseball legend Stan Musial played  
for the St. Louis Cardinals from September,1941 to
September,1963. He was elected to the Baseball
Hall of Fame in 1969.
