Lenard is best remembered for his portrayal as Spock’s father Sarek in
Star Trek: The Original Series and Star Trek: The Animated Series and
later in Star Trek: The Next Generation. He also appeared in three Star
Trek feature films in 1984, 1986, and in 1991. Lenard played roles outside
the Star Trek series such as the prosecutor in Clint Eastwood’s 1968 film,
Hang ‘Em High.

On October 12th 1944 – Frank Sinatra opened his third season at New
York’s Paramount theatre. He was greeted by a huge crowd of fans,
mostly teenaged girls, When they refused to leave after the first show,
the frustrated crowd outside waiting to catch the next show went berserk,
sparking what became known at the “Columbus Day Riot “. It took 200
police along and 421 reserves to control the rampage.

was written by playwright Eugene O’Neil in 1939. The play
premiered on Broadway at the Martin Beck Theatre in New York on October 9,
1946. It was directed by Eddie Dowling and ran for 136 performances closing
on March 15, 1947.
