"American Messenger Company" was started in Seattle, Washington by two teenage entrepreneurs, Jim Casey and Claude Ryan with a $100 loan. The company’s name
was later changed to "United Parcel Service” (UPS).
Headquartered in Sandy Springs, Georgia, UPS delivers more than 15 million
packages a day to 6.1 million customers in more than 220 countries and territories around the world.
