Tonight Starring Steve Allen was a^[ talk show hosted by Steve
Allen. It was the first version of what eventually became known
as The Tonight Show. Tonight was the first late-night talk show,
as well as the first late night television series of any kind to
achieve long-term success.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Actor David McCallum, who became a
teen heartthrob in the hit series "The Man From U.N.C.L.E." in
the 1960s and was the eccentric medical examiner in the
popular "NCIS" 40 years later, has died.

McCallum died Monday of natural causes surrounded by
family at New York Presbyterian Hospital.

James Maury Henson (September 24, 1936 – May 16, 1990)

Jim Henson was puppeteer, animator, cartoonist, actor,
inventor, and filmmaker who achieved worldwide
notability as the creator of the Muppets (below).

Drew Carey served in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves from 1980-86,
and his experience has had a lasting impact on his life. Before he
was known for hosting The Price Is Right or starring in the hit sitcom
The Drew Carey Show, Carey was an active-duty Marine. His time in
the military instilled with discipline and determination, which helped
him pursue his dreams of becoming a comedian and actor.

After leaving the service in 1986, Carey began performing stand-up comedy around Cleveland and eventually made it to Hollywood
where he found success as one of America’s most beloved
funnymen.
