Alvis Edgar Owens, Jr. (August 12, 1929 – March 25, 2006)
Owens was a country singer with the group the Buckaroos, known for
pioneering the Bakersfield Sound. He was also the co-host of a radio
show called Buck and Britt. He released ten #1 country albums from
1963 to 1968.
Charles Keating (October 22, 1941 – August 9, 2014)
The classically trained Shakespearean actor Charles Keating, who won a
Daytime Emmy in 1996 for the NBC soap opera Another World, died of
cancer Saturday. On the big screen Keating appeared in 1992’s The
Bodyguard and 1990’s Awakenings.

Allen Funt
Candid Camera is a hidden camera/practical joke reality television series created
and produced by Allen Funt (above), a former advertising artist who conceived the
show that caught people in the act of being themselves. The show initially began
on radio as The Candid Microphone on June 28, 1947. After a series of theatrical
film shorts, also titled Candid Microphone, Funt’s concept came to television, initially
on ABC, and aired over other networks until the final broadcast on May 5, 2004.
