  Shirley Mitchell
(November 4, 1919 – November 11, 2013)

(FOXNEWS) – Shirley Mitchell, who was believed to be the last surviving
cast-member of the hit CBS sitcom “I Love Lucy,” died earlier this week.

Mitchell died of heart failure on Monday, according to her sister-in-law
Nancy Olson. The veteran actress played Lucy’s friend Marion Strong
— with the cackling laugh– in the classic show during the 1953 to 1954
season.

The Toledo, Ohio native later appeared in “Perry Mason,” “The Dick
Van Dyke Show” and “The Beverly Hillbillies.”

Mitchell was married to famed film composer Jay Livingston until his
death in 2001.
