Peter Nero (Bernard Nierow) started his music training at the age of seven
and by the time he was fourteen, he was accepted to New York City’s High
School of Music and Art and won a scholarship to the Juilliard School Of
Music. He recorded his first album in 1961, and won a Grammy Award
that year for “Best New Artist”.
