MARK HAMILL IS 64 TODAY


Mark Richard Hamill was born in Oakland, California.

Hamill portrayed Luke Skywalker in the original Star Wars trilogy
(1977-1983). He received a Drama Desk Award nomination for
his work in The Elephant Man (1977). He also did voice acting
work as The Joker in Batman, the Animated TV series, from
1992 to 1995.

James Maury "Jim" Henson  (September 24, 1936 – May 16, 1990)

Henson created puppets for a children’s show on local TV called The Junior
Morning
Show. Another early show was Sam and Friends, which featured
prototypes of The Muppets. He was honored on the Hollywood Walk of
Fame as both himself and Kermit the Frog.

The series was part of ABC’s popular Saturday night lineup that included
Fantasy Island until that show ended in 1984. The original 1976 made-for-
TV movie
on which the show was based (also titled The Love Boat) was
itself based on the nonfiction book The Love Boats by Jeraldine Saunders,
a real-life cruise director.

The animated sitcom The Jetsons was produced by Hanna-Barbera and
was the first program to be broadcast in color on ABC-TV. It was Hanna-
Barbera’s Space Age counterpart to The Flintstones.

Scott Bajo landed his first film role in Bugsy Malone, 1976.


Scott Bajo (Scott Vincent James Baio)

Bajo played the role of Chachi Arcola on the ABC-TV 
shows Happy Days (1974-1984) and Joanie Loves 
Chachi
(1982-1983). He decided to become an actor
at age 9.
