Dale was born Frances Octavia Smith in Uvalde, Texas. She was a
movie star, singer-songwriter and an author. She was the third wife
of singing cowboy Roy Rogers.

GUNFIGHT TOOK PLACE ON THIS DAY IN 1881

The Gunfight at the O.K. Corral was approximately a 30-second gunfight that took
place in the afternoon of Wednesday October 26, 1881 in Tombstone, Arizona.Tom
and Frank McLaury along with Billy Clanton were killed; Morgan and Virgil Earp and
John “Doc” Holliday were wounded and survived. Wyatt Earp was unharmed. It is regarded as the most legendary gunfight in the history of the Old West.

1958 to June 24, 1962 on the ABC Television Network. The series starred
John Russell as Marshal Dan Troop and Peter Brown as Deputy Johnny
McKay.

Actress Angie Dickinson has appeared in more than fifty films, including
Rio Bravo (1959), Ocean’s Eleven (1960), Dressed to Kill (1980), and
Pay It Forward (2000). She also starred as Sergeant Suzanne “ Pepper”
Anderson in the NBC-TV crime series Police Woman, from September
13, 1974 to March 29, 1978. She won a Golden Globe Award for Best
Actress-Drama Series for the show in 1975 and received Emmy Award
nominations in 1975, 1976, and 1977 for the series.
