TRUE STORIES OF THE OLD WEST
DEATH VALLEY DAYS started on radio in 1930 and ran
until 1945. It continued from 1952 to 1975 as a syndicated
TV series sponsored by 20 Mule Team Borax. The show
featured true stories of the old west. Most of the episodes
were introduced by “The Old Ranger” played by Stanley
Andrews. After Andrews departed the series, the new
host became Ronald Reagan. When Reagan left to enter
politics, the role of host went to Robert Taylor who
became gravely ill in 1969 and was replaced by
Dale Robertson.
