Kristina Louise "Tina" Yothers was a child actor since the age of 8, she is best
known for her role as Jennifer Keaton on the hit NBC-TV sitcom series Family Ties
(1982 – 1989). Tina has had roles in numerous television films throughout the 1980s
and early 1990s including Crash Course (1988).
Wow, I can still remember as a kid seeing the last episode where they all bowed to the audience. It was kinda of a sad moment. Maybe the first time a learned that all good things must come to an end.
When I was sixteen my family and I moved from Ohio to California. I had no friends and was very depressed. As it happens, her dad was friends with the director of the Ohio All-Star wrestling team and met her through them. Tina was always super nice, down to earth and had no ego. Even though she was a huge star at the time, she always found time to help me and anyone else who needed it. I can’t say enough good things about her. She is just the nicest and one of the funniest people I ever met. My son C.J. wants to become an actor one day, and I tell him all of the time about Tina and what it was like to hang out on the set with her at Paramount Studios. However, the most important thing I always tell him is how great she was to everyone, and if he makes it big to do the same.
