HAPPY BIRTHDAY SAMUEL L. JACKSON ~ 62 TODAY
Jackson gained critical acclaim for his role in Spike
Lee’s drama Jungle Fever (1991). His performance in
Quentin Tarantino’s 1994 crime drama, Pulp Fiction
received several award nominations. The actor has
since appeared in over 100 films.

KIEFER SUTHERLAND ~ BIRTHDAY 44 TODAY
Kiefer Sutherland,left,played the bully in the 1986 coming of age
adventure drama…Stand by Me. This was Kiefer’s first screen
appearance.
A 1987 teen horror film with Keifer Sutherland as David, the leader
of a gang.
Keifer was agent Jack Bouer in 24, a Fox network TV series that ran
from November 6, 2001 to May 24, 2010.
IT WAS A SECRET MEETING ON THIS DATE IN 1970
The meeting between President Nixon, left and Elvis Presley,
right, was requested by Elvis to discuss how the rock star
could help the country fight the growing drug problem. Elvis
suggested that he might be made a “Federal Agent at-large
in the Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs”. The oval
office visit lasted only 30 minutes.
Elvis Presley’s had written request for the meeting with Nixon
was made though Senator George murphy of California.
