The Mickey Rooney Show: “Hey Mulligan” was a half-hour NBC-TV sitcom that
ran from April 28,1954 to June 4,1955. It starred, then 34-year-old, Mickey Rooney (above) as Mickey Mulligan, an Irish American television studio page at the mythical International Broadcasting Company in Hollywood. This was Mickey’s first television series. The former child actor was previously known for his starring role in the many Andy Hardy films between 1937 and 1958.

I really like Rooney and found this show on Roku. Some of the storyline and comedic lines were ridiculous, but Mickey was really good at physical comedy. During this day and age, it seems like nothing for young people to be living at home but a lot of tv during the 50-60s seemed to have a lot of people married with families. I wonder what the stats were for our single young men and women returning home from war.

Can’t post email, it won’t accept the numbers.
