AS FAR AS I’M CONCERNED THE FABULOUS WAILERS ARE RIGHT UP THERE WITH THE KINGSMEN, RAIDERS, AND THE VENTURES AS THE TOP BANDS FROM HERE IN THE NORT WEST. SOME OF YOU MAY SAY THE VENTURES WERE BIGGER IN JAPAN THAN HERE IN THE NORTH WEST AND YOU MIGHT BE RIGHT BUT I STILL PLAY ALONG TO MY VENTURES RECORDS. ON A SAD NOTE, WE LOST KENT MORRILL, THE WAILERS LEAD SINGER AND KEYBOARD PLAYER APRIL 15th
TO COLON CANCER. KENT WROTE “DIRTY ROBBER” ONE OF THE WAILER’S SIGNITURE HITS AND IN FACT WAS THE STEPPING STONE THAT GOT KENT INTO THE WAILERS. HE WILL BE MISSED.
