John Royce “Johnny” Mathis started his music career recording singles of
standards and soon became a popular album artist, with several dozen
achieving gold or platinum status, and 73 making the Billboard charts. The
Guinness Book of World Records, lists Johnny Mathis has having sold 350
million records worldwide. Mathis received the Lifetime Achievement Award
in 2003 from the Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences. He was inducted
into the Grammy Hall of Fame, a special Grammy award established in 1973.

Hi, Tracy! My father was Johnny’s pianist & conductor from the late 60s til 1983. I have wonderful memories of standing backstage . . so glad to know that Johnny is not forgotten!
I remember my dad was a Johnny Mathis fan he even tried mimicing him I today have all the albumes of Johnny Mathis my dad left behind, my dad past away in 2006 and he loved Johnny Mathis music and I like the songs alfy or chances are danny boy and so on all his Christmas music I have today and I still listen to those songs and the music still sound good
