DEBUT OF POLICE DRAMA ON THIS DAY IN 1968

Adam-12 was a television police drama which followed two police officers of the Los Angeles Police Department, Pete Malloy (Martin Milner) and Jim Reed Kent McCord),
as they patrolled the streets of Los Angeles in their police cruiser, 1-Adam-12. Created
by Jack Webb (Dragnet) the show ran from Saturday September 21,1968 through May
20, 1975 on NBC. The series depicted a typical day in the life of a police officer.

Monday Night Football (MNF) is a live broadcast of the National Football
League on ESPN. From September 21, 1970 to 2005 it aired on ABC. It
was one of the longest running prime time commercial network television
series ever, particularly among male viewers. As of September 19, 2011,
the franchise had aired a total of 646 games.

million copies, which have been adapted into a number of feature films, TV
movies and comic books. As of 2011, King has written and published 49 novels,
including seven under the pen name of Richard Bachman, five non-fiction
books, and nine collections of short stories. Many of his writings are set in his
home town of Maine. King has received numerous awards, including the Medal
for Distinguished Contributions to American Letters in 2003 from the National
Book Foundation.

DEBUT OF ‘’PERRY MASON’’ ON THIS DAY IN 1957

The Legal drama Perry Mason had an original run from September 21, 1957 to
May 22, 1966. The title character was portrayed by Raymond Burr (above).The
show was, at one time, television’s most successful and longest-running lawyer
series.
