Floyd Cramer (October 27, 1933 – December 31, 1997)
Floyd Cramer was a Hall of Fame pianist who was one of the major architects of the
"Nashville Sound.” He popularized the "slip note" piano style, a departure from the common style of the late 1950s.
"Last Date" peaked at number two on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in
1960 and made the number 11 position on the country chart.
