The Huntley-Brinkley Report (known also as The Texaco Huntley-Brinkley Report
for one of its early sponsors) was the flagship evening news program for the NBC
television network from Monday October 29, 1956 until July 31, 1970. The shows
anchors were Chet Huntley in New York City, and David Brinkley in Washington,
D.C. The program succeeded the Camel News Caravan with John Cameron
Swayze. The original news series ran for 15 minutes and expanded to 30
minutes in September of 1963.
