Route 66 is a television series in which two young men traveled across
America. The show ran weekly on CBS beginning on Friday October 7,
1960 till March 13, 1964. The series is best remembered for its 1956
Corvette convertible and its instrumental theme song (composed and
performed by Nelson Riddle), which became a major pop hit.
