“TODAY IN HISTORY”
STONES CO-FOUNDER IS 67 TODAY
Keith Richards is a guitarist and founding member of The Rolling
Stones. He is listed as the “10th greatest guitarist of all time” by
Rolling Stone magazine. Fourteen songs written by Richards and
songwriter partner and band vocalist, Mick Jagger, are among the
magazines list of the “500 Greatest Songs of All Time”.
LONG RUNNING GAME SHOW DEBUTED ON THIS DAY IN 1956
To Tell The Truth premiered on Tuesday, December 18, 1956, on CBS during prime
time as Nothing But The Truth, but the program title was changed, To Tell The Truth, during the following week. Bud Collyer was the original host of the series. The initial regular panelists included Johnny Carson, Polly Bergen, Jayne Meadows, Dick Van Dyke, and Ralph Bellamy. The show concluded in syndication on March 15, 2002.
