Alton Glenn Miller (March 1, 1904 – December 15, 1944)
Glenn Miller was a jazz trombonist, arranger, composer, and bandleader
in the swing era, one of the best-selling record artists from 1939 to 1943.
While traveling to entertain U.S. troops in France during World War ll, Miller’s
plane disappeared in bad weather over the English Channel. He was listed
as missing in action.
Glenn Miller’s most notable recordings include “In the Mood”, “Moonlight
Serenade”, “Tuxedo Junction”, and “At Last”.
The Glenn Miller Orchestra was reformed after the war and continues to
record and perform to his day.
I canNOT get enough of Glenn Miller and his Orchestra….could play it all day and never tire of it!!
