Jay North holds a photo of himself as Dennis the Menace
Jay North began a career as a child actor at the age of six. He became a household name for his portrayal of Dennis Mitchell on the CBS sitcom Dennis the Menace
(1959-1963), based on the comic strip created by Hank Ketcham.
As an adult, North turned to voice acting work for animated television series, voicing
the roles of Prince Turhan in Arabian Knights and a teenage Bamm-Bamm Rubble
on The Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm Show.
After leaving show business and disclosing the truth of a troubled childhood as a
child actor, North began working with fellow former child star Paul Petersen and
the organization, A Minor Consideration, using his own experiences as a child
performer to counsel other children working within the entertainment industry.
Happy Birthday Jay.
I still get a big kick out of watching your movies.
Are you planing to be on the silver screen any time soon?

Happy belated Birthday Jay! My kids love watching the whole Dennis the Menace series on Netflix.com.
Happy belated Birthday Jay,
I’m trying to find out if Jay has a email address, as I have 1 question I would like to ask him. Does anyone know?
Thanks
Don
Happy Birthday to both of us. My name is Dennis and by happy coincidence my birthday is also august 3 (1954) and all throughout my school years everyone called me Dennis The Menace. Even as an adult, when I meet someone new and want them to remember my name I just tell them to think of Dennis The Menace. You made a great impression on many lives, Jay. Thank you.
Wow !!! I watched Dennis the Menace today and wondered how you are doing, and what your doing these days? I was happy to see your picture, it is good to know your alive and doing well. Happy Birthday To You Jay, GOD BLESS YOU !!!
Jay I caught an episode of the show tonight and was shocked to learn of the abuse you had to endure all those years the show was on the air. I am turning 55 next month and just wanted to say I am glad your life has a happy ending. I want to thank you for you not the character on the show. I admire people that have overcome so much adversity in your young life and I hope can now enjoy the rest of it with your new wife. Best of luck to you Jay!!

Jay-My name is Bill Holder and I am an automotive freelance writer. While photographing a ’53 Ford Woody wagon, the owner told me that you had once owned it. The article will be in Vintage Truck Magazine. Was wondering if I could include a photo of you with the wagon if one exists. Look forward to hearing from you. Best, Bill Holder, Riverside, Ohio

Why do so many of the above comments seem to think that Jay either wrote this article or will read these messages?
It never ceases to amaze me the horrendously low heights (see what i did there?) that grammar and reading comprehension in this country have sunken.
The author of that truck article should be doubly ashamed because as writer he should apply critical thinking.
Hey Jay, remember me? Senior Chief Hernandez on the USS DIXIE. Glad to have helped getting you out of the Navy, per your request. Later, have a good day… Al
Hi Jay,
I am very sorry that you were so tormented as a child. Though I enjoyed watching you as Dennis, your “behind the set” troubles, certainly wasn’t worth the pain. Good luck in enjoying your present life.
