Actor Mike Connors (born Krekor Ohanian) is best known for playing
detective Joe Mannix in the CBS television series, Mannix from 1967
to 1975. The series was the last one produced by Desilu Productions.

Rose Marie played writer Sally Rogers on "The Dick Van Dyke Show"
on CBS from 1961 to 1966. She had a successful singing career as
child performer, Baby Rose Marie. As a teenager, she became a
nightclub performer before transitioning to a radio comedian.

V-J Day ( Victory over Japan Day) was proclaimed a day after Japan agreed
to surrender unconditionally.
The official United States celebration is not
on this date, however. V-J Day is instead celebrated on September 2, the
date of the formal signing of
the surrender. A special day of remembrance
is marked in Japan and other countries on September 2.
