Art Ginsburg, commonly known as Mr. Food, was a television chef and best
selling author of cookbooks. He had been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer
in 2011 and underwent treatments, including surgery, which had caused the
cancer to go into remission. However, it returned in October. He died at his
home that he shared with his wife Ethel in Weston, Florida. Ginsburg was
originally a butcher and ran his own catering business prior to work in
television. The series he founded is expected to continue with other
chefs as hosts.

Goldie Jeanne Hawn is a actress, film director, producer, and occasional singer,
best known for her roles in Rowan & Martin’s Laugh-In on ABC-TV (1968-1972),
Private Benjamin (1980),Overboard (1987), and Cactus Flower, for which she
won the 1969 Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress.

THANKSGIVING DAY PARADE DEBUTED IN 1924
The first Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade was Originally called Macy’s
Christmas Parade and featured four hundred employees from the store
accompanied by real animals from Central Park Zoo along with bands,
balloons, and floats. It was the beginning of a holiday tradition that has
become a piece of Americana. The giant helium filled balloons were
added to the annual event in 1927.
