Jon Provost is a former child actor of both film and television,
best known for his role as young Timmy Martin in the long-
running CBS series, Lassie (1954-1973). Provost debuted
in the first episode of the fourth season, "The Runaway" in
1957.

Though mentioned by Benjamin Franklin in 1784, the idea of daylight saving
time, advancing clocks forward one hour so that evenings have more daylight,
was first proposed in 1895 by George Vernon Hudson and was implemented 
during World War ll.
