old radio drama


Your Family and Mine
was a radio drama series which aired on CBS in 1938-
1940. Promoted as "Radio’s Newest Dramatic Serial," it premiered Monday,
April 25, 1938. The program was initially broadcast daily at 6:15pm and was
sponsored by Sealtest.

The series was created by Lillian Laugerty, following her success with the
daytime drama series Big Sister, which had a long run from 1936 to 1952.

                            (April 25, 1908 – April 27, 1965)

Edward R. Murrow was a broadcast journalist known for his series of radio
news
broadcasts during World War II, which were followed by millions of
listeners in the United States.

A pioneer of television news broadcasting, Murrow produced a series of TV
news reports that helped lead to the censure of Senator Joseph McCarthy.
