Often the proceeds from a hot dog day are given to charity. Industry groups,
such as National Hot Dog & Sausage Council which designates National Hot
Dog Month and July 23 as National Hot Dog Day, helps to encourage, sponsor,
and support events.
J. Cool here and I have never really needed an excuse
to have a dog or two but I’ll gladly except today as
being “NHD” to woof down a couple of “Bar-S” all beef
